Nothing in this world is absolutely perfect and we believe that it is our duty to inform you of any weak points that some hotels may have, even if they are the best in a particular region; some may be small or located in a remote area but we maintain our authenticity through offering you the most in each experience whether that be luxury or not.

All photographs have been taken by us during our repeat visits to each location. We aim to present the accommodation in its true form and won't bother with embellishing the images as we would like you to see them for what they are, in reality.

The quality of accommodation may improve with time or may deplete, due to various reasons (change of direction or lack of maintenance etc) this can happen in just a few months. But we consider customer feedback to be very important and it helps us greatly to review our selection.


	RJ-2: Charm in the heart of Jogjakarta This accommodation is located just steps from the famous Jalan Malioboro, the main artery of the city. This large international brand has maintained calm and authenticity and has managed to retain a touch of colonial architecture; more like a dainty set of cloisters than a hotel, it truly is a haven in the heart of this vibrant city. 	RJ-4: At the foot of the Ijen volcano (East Java) Difficult to access and tucked away in a very remote area, this little gem of a hotel is certainly worth the stay, offering gourmet cuisine and fine service, an attractive royal-sized pool and extremely elegant rooms. 	RJ-7: On Kuta beach in Lombok We'd rather focus on small and unique hotels and lodgings but occasionally there will be a large international chain that deserves some attention and this hotel is one of them. Situated on the beautiful Kuta beach in the South of Lombok, individual villas are built in the traditional style of stone and bamboo; all of which are decorated with sophistication and pleasurable design. 	RJ-15: Sensuality in the north of Senggigi Recently opened, this intimate, tasteful and refined accommodation has managed to remain in harmony with the natural surroundings of the Senggigi region. The pool, bar and restaurant overlook the sea and the air-conditioned rooms are spacious, light and airy and are decorated beautifully with teak wood furniture. The garden is luscious and the "trendy" onsite bar is not excessive, just the right dose of modernity; the balance between modern comfort and authenticity has been successfully achieved throughout. 	RJ-20: On a hill near Rantepao (Sulawesi) This property is the only one to meet the criteria of luxury in the Country of Toraja. It was sold by the Group Agreement in 2002 and due to low occupancy rates; it has stayed at an intimate level. The rooms themselves are charming because of their traditional Toraja structure. We find this place to be a bit of a "ghost" hotel and we are not sure that the room rates (in contrast to the general condition of the hotel before its decline) is reasonable, especially compared to what one can have in Bali or Java.
